After a successful Earthfest a few weeks ago with Neon Trees, Smallpools, and others, Radio 92.9 is jumping back into the free concert game. And they’re landing in the middle of Copley Square with two of our new favorite acts.
The FM alt-rock station’s Copley Concert Series will host Tennessee rock and roll gang J. Roddy Walston and the Business on July 17, and Australian singer-songwriter sensation Vance Joy on September 11.
In between, there’s a show on August 21, but that artist won’t be announced until July 24. We’ll let you pore over the calendars and make predictions based on radius clauses.
Meanwhile, on the Boston tip, Sarah Blacker and Air Traffic Controller will be performing before Walston and crew on the July 17 bill, while Rocco DeRosa (of the Naked Stills) and AJ Edwards & the List will be warming up the September 11 gig.
The shows run from 5 to 8 p.m., so this makes for a nice post-work live music experience.
Solid all around. Here’s a look at the headliners…
