“How the fuck did I end up on this pile o shit?” — that’s the reaction from Deadmau5 after he learned that the India branch of Universal Music has released a new dance compilation titled Now That’s What I Call EDM.
According to fistintheair.com, the producer’s track “Suckfest9001″ leads off the comp, which also features Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Tiesto, Avicci, Martin Garrix and more.
You know, the hitmakers.
Check the tweets from Deadmau5 — who’s often described EDM as “Event Driven Marketing” — from yesterday after the cover artwork jump.

Here comes $100 to all the people who predicted that EDM would have a Now compilation by 2014. Ok… that’s a lot of people.
It’s still not sitting well with the ‘Mau5. But according to Vice: “It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how UMG India was able to license a Deadmau5 track for its EDM collection: UMG is, ultimately, the owner of his Mau5trap imprint, to which the Mau5 himself is signed.”
