Tisk Tok: Ke$ha has been banned from performing in Malaysia, for ‘reasons of religion and culture’

Glittery pop vixen Ke$ha has been banned from Malaysia! TMZ is reporting that government officials from the southeast Asian country of 30 million people have prevented K-Dolla from performing live tonight for “reasons of religion and culture.” Her Warrior Tour was expected to roll into Stadium Negara for a fun lil’ Saturday night concert. What could go wrong?

Apparently Malaysia’s Muslim-leaning religious beliefs are not in line with whiskey and glitter. Ke$ha tweeted this morning that she was even threatened with jail time if the show went on without proper approval from the government.

TMZ says the singer was even willing to change some of her lyrics and adapt her stage show. But no dice. From the report:

Ke$ha was set to perform in Malaysia tonight — but the promoter says government officials rejected her performance application at the last minute.

The concert promoter says Ke$ha agreed to change a ton of elements in the show — including song lyrics and wardrobe — but government officials wouldn’t budge.

A rep for the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia in Malaysia reportedly said the decision was made for “reasons of religion and culture” … but wouldn’t go into detail.

It might have something to do with this…

Or this…

Or possibly…
