The Dismemberment Plan announce ‘Uncanny Valley,’ first new record in 12 years

DPLAN

Influential DC indie rock band THE DISMEMBERMENT PLAN announced it will have a new record this fall to accompany a handful of shows at Riot Fests in Chicago and Denver. Well hot damn. Uncanny Valley, out October 15, is the band’s fifth studio record and first since 2001’s Change. Fans got treated to a live record, Live In Japan, two years ago.

Let’s all re-live the “Ice of Boston” one more time, pop open that third bottle of bubbly, pour it on our head standing naked in front of everyone, and ask mom how Washington is these days. She’ll probably say something about the Nationals underachieving.

Here’s word for and track listing of Uncanny Valley from D-Plan’s homepage, with the Ice after the jump.

The Dismemberment Plan is pleased to announce that on October 15, it will release Uncanney Valley, its fifth LP and first since 2001’s Change.

This music will be available for digital download. It will also be sold in the compact disc and vinyl 12″ formats.

We are very happy with how it turned out and can’t wait for everyone to hear it… we’re also super excited to play these songs at shows this fall.

We will have much more to share in the coming months! So exciting. For now, we leave you with the track list. Enjoy!
