Stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but we’re gonna need more days in October. A few weeks ago we hyped Years & Years’ tour announcement, which included an October 12 appearance at The Paradise Rock Club. That was all well and good until we realized that it landed on the same freakin’ night as Florence + The Machine’s show at TD Garden and Troye Sivan’s gig at The Boch Center’s Wang Theatre.
Olly, Flo, and Troye here in town all on the same cool Friday night? Together, that would be one killer mini-festival. Spread out around town? Well, decisions have to be made.
Sivan makes the case to head to the Theatre District today with a new track called “Animal”, a confident, calmly assertive alt-pop crystal of a love-fed single that continues to shape his forthcoming Bloom album. That record, the follow-up to 2015 debut Blue Neighbourhood, hits streets and alleys come August 31.
