Peter Bjorn and John detail new album ‘Darker Days’, fall tour

Way back in the good ol’ days of 2006, life was simple, social media was enjoyable, and Peter Bjorn and John has us all whistling along to “Young Folks.” We’ve been chasing that magic ever since, and there’s a chance a small slither of it could arrive this fall when the Swedish band release new album titled… *checks notes*… erm, Darker Days.

Ok hey, maybe not!

In any event, Peter Bjorn and John’s eighth studio album hits October 19, and the dudes have outlined a few North American dates once the LP is out and about. Included in that run is a November 29 dance at Brighton Music Hall in Allston, and tickets go on sale Friday (August 10).

Darker Days is the follow-up to 2016’s Breakin’ Point, and is described in a press release like this: “Peter tackling what’s happening in the world right now, Bjorn delving into relationship issues and John, the most existential, exploring the shadows of our own psyche.”

Well, maybe 2006 is gone for good.
