This is the day… The The announce a North American tour.
The acclaimed British post-punk band have today unveiled their first batch of North American tour dates in 18 years, and the eight-show run kicks off with a September 14 appearance at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre.
Other stops include two New York City shows, as well as gigs in Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Get all the dates below.
Last year for Record Store Day, The The released a new single, with Johnny Marr on guitar, titled “We Can’t Stop What’s Coming.” This June, a new biography of the band, Long Shadows, High Hopes, written by Neil Fraser and authorized by frontman and songwriter Matt Johnson, will be published by Omnibus Press. So there’s a lot of buzz around The The these days.
