Studio 52 Spotlight: Dutch Tulips
What Studio 52 Says: The fuzz-rock force known as Dutch Tulips have recently finished their newest EP and have already created an instant classic. The self-titled marvel is a four-track exhibition of poppy hooks and satiating rhythms that feel so clean and polished it’s difficult not to put the album on repeat. The band opts for quality over quantity on the EP, which sports tremendous production value and an impeccable continuity between the tracks. It’s one of the finest self-releases we’ve heard from a Boston artist in the past few years. We’re honored to have the band share with us a stream of the album before the official release, this Monday night (February 19) at Charlie’s Kitchen in Cambridge’s Harvard Square. Joining them for the event are two more wonderful Boston acts, Today Junior and The Dazies. Dutch Tulips’ self-titled EP releases the next day, on Tuesday (February 20).— Andrew Maroney, Studio 52
