PVRIS announce winter shows, playing ‘all the cities we missed on our last tour’

Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

Since PVRIS currently rule the world, we are obligated by Massachusetts Music Media Law (MMML) to dutifully report on their every move.

And so today we relay word that the Lowell alt-pop trio will be returning for a 21-date North American tour this February and March, playing cities they didn’t get to on their recent headlining run with Lights and Flint Eastwood. Since that tour hit The House of Blues last month, there’s no Boston date, but fear not — PVRIS will be playing The Strand in Providence on February 18.

“We promised to come back and play all the cities we missed on our last tour,” PVRIS write. “See you again in February & March.”

General admission and VIP tickets to the winter shows go on sale this Friday (November 17) at 10 a.m. local time. Meanwhile, PVRIS are currently on a European tour that takes them to the end of November, and are up for six — six! — Boston Music Awards at next month’s banquet at The House of Blues in Boston.

At last year’s BMAs, PVRIS took home three awards — Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“You And I”), and Lyndsey Gunnulfsen for Female Vocalist of the Year. This year’s ballot has a similar vibe, as they are up for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell), Song of the Year (“Heaven”), Video of the Year (“Heaven”), Pop Artist of the Year, and Gunnulfsen again for Female Vocalist of the Year. Public voting closed earlier this month.
