Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.
Ever since Letters To Cleo reformed nearly two years ago by declaring themselves a “current” band, Kay Hanley’s Boston-born alt-rock crew have gotten creative with their live shows. Last fall, they played an intimate Girls Rock Campaign Boston fundraiser at The Sinclair, and now are set to dust off their entire catalog during a three-night run at the Paradise Rock Club.
The ‘Dise residency will celebrate each of their studio long-players: 1993’s Aurora Gory Alice on November 16; 1995’s Wholesale Meats and Fish on November 17; and 1997’s Go! on November 18.
They also promise “fan favorites” at each show, and as an added bonus, Juliana Hatfield’s Blake Babies will open each night.
Tickets go on sale Friday at noon via Ticketmaster, and three-night passes will be available.

Perhaps best known for their 1994 hit “Here & Now”, Letters To Cleo were active from 1990 to 2000, appearing in the 1999 Heath Ledger film 10 Things I Hate About You (which holds up remarkably well nearly 20 years later, we might add) and releasing three studio albums. They reunited in late 2007 when four original members played T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge for a Jeanne Connolly benefit show, and played a handful of live dates in 2009.
At the 2015 Hot Stove Cool Music benefit at the Paradise in Boston, Hanley, McKenna, Eisenstein and others performed “Here & Now” and other songs. In recent years, they’ve found a renewed fan interest via television show Parks & Recreation, and this version of Letters To Cleo features an original lineup of Hanley (vocals), Michael Eisenstein (guitar), Stacy Jones (drums), and Greg McKenna (guitar).
Before the aforementioned Sinclair show last fall, Vanyaland’s Victoria Wasylak chatted with Hanley backstage about their comeback and all sorts of other rad shit, and you can watch the interview below.
