America’s uncle Glenn Danzig made news recently when it was announced his eponymous band would be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Danzig III: How The Gods Kill with a full album performance at Riot Fest in Chicago.
Now, it seems Danzig and the boys are playing a handful of warm-up dates before the festival gig, and the short run of shows kicks off September 7 at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in New Hampshire. There are also shows in Philadelphia, Long Island, Cleveland, Detroit and elsewhere as the touring road leads to Riot Fest.
There’s no word just yet if these appearances will also celebrate How The Gods Kill (we can only hope), or if it’s a tour behind last month’s Black Laden Crown LP. But what we do know is this: Corrosion of Conformity are on board as openers. Check out all the dates, via Ghost Cult, and the oh-so-Danzig tour poster below.
