Those who rolled up super early to the Boston Music Awards back in December were in for a treat: Homegrown rapper Kyle Bent scored the dinnertime slot, but he treated the House of Blues stage like a headlining performance.
Now it’s time for dessert, and the 20-year-old Bent keeps the buzz flowing with a new track called “Just A Little Bit”. It’s a chilled-out number perfect for the hottest day of the year (so far), and its life-lesson of taking it easy and enjoying the journey is one we can all roll with.
The cut “is a care free record about having good times and enjoying the moment with your homies,” Bent tells HipHopDX. “The inspiration for the track comes from my desire to continue leveling up and making my life what imagines I want it to be. I hope the song can also inspire other people to change their lives and level up as well.”
Catch Bent in action June 29, when he plays the latest Lysten Boston party at Great Scott in Allston. It’s an inspired also featuring Haasan Barclay and Ed Balloon, so invest in some advance-ticket decision-making here.
