Last summer Blossoms caught our attention with “Charlemagne”, a song so damn catchy it could have been included as an original composition on the Sing Street soundtrack. Now, with a chart-topping album in their homeland and an upcoming gig opening for The Stone Roses this summer at Wembley Stadium in London, the British band has announced their first-ever North American headlining tour. And it kicks off June 1 at Great Scott in Allston.
Tickets to the entire stateside run, including the Boston date, go on sale this Friday (April 28) at noon, and their monthlong jaunt here also includes appearances at New York City’s Governors Ball and Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee.
Those in New England don’t have to wait until June to get their Blossoms fix, however, as the band opens for Two Door Cinema Club this Saturday at the University of Vermont in Burlington. Check out all their North American dates below, as well as Blossoms’ new video for “Honey Sweet.”
