Studio 52 Spotlight: Save Ends
What Studio 52 Says: Delivering a sound landing somewhere between pop and punk (but not quite pop-punk), Save Ends grab your attention with twinkling, catchy guitar riffs accompanied by a booming rhythm section. Beneath these, they have masterfully layered the harmonious mingling vocals of singers Christine Atturio and Brendan Cahill. Their first full-length Warm Hearts, Cold Hands, from 2013, is an anthem to long nights and hard times by establishing the perfect soundtrack to the grind of your late 20s. Following up their latest release Hug Your Friends from 2016, Save Ends head back to the studio this month to begin recording their second full-length, of which we personally are eagerly awaiting. We’re hoping to catch some previews of the new record next Thursday (April 27) when they play Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge with heavy-hitters Dowsing. Rounding out the line-up for the night is The Exquisite and Fightsong, the latter of which being the latest project from Hostage Calm’s Chris “Cmar” Martin.
