By mid-March, it’s easy to get burned out on big-ticket summer festival lineup news. A lot of the same names have been showing up on fests across the country, but this morning Los Angeles’ FYF Fest shakes up the system for a lineup that’s all sorts of fresh, exciting, and worthy of plenty of “oh shit” declarations.
Headlining the July 21 to 23 festival at Exposition Park are Missy Elliott, Bjork, Nine Inch Nails, and Frank Ocean.
The undercard — if you can call it that — is just as impressive, with A Tribe Called Quest, Slowdive, Jonathan Richman, Solange, Iggy Pop MGMT, Beach Fossils, Erykah Badu, Run the Jewels, The Drums, Ty Segall, Anderson .Paak, Angel Olsen, Nicolas Jaar, Kehlani, Mitski, The Faint, Thee Oh Sees, Perfume Genius, S U R V I V E, and a gazillion others appearing over the weekend.
Check the rest on the flyer below, of which FYF Fest writes: “This mural art installation was hand created and styled by local artist Danielle Garza, sign painters Lauren McElroy and Jessica Cowley, artist Luke McGarry, photographer Tod Seelie, and the FYF team. This was inspired by the now shuttered Colby Poster Printing Company.”
Tickets go on sale Friday (March 24) at noon PST. Get on Kayak now and get those flights.
