The Boston Red Sox have finally confirmed what many fans were led to believe last season: Mookie Betts is a Jedi.
The 2016 American League MVP runner-up will get a special designation this season when the Sox host Star Wars Night at Fenway Park during their May 4 game against the Baltimore Orioles. In addition to Star Wars characters parading around the stadium for photos and friendly lightsaber duels, those who purchase tickets here will receive a limited edition Jedi Mookie Betts bobblehead.
