Railing collapses at Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa show in New Jersey, injuring 42 [video]

The “High Road” summer tour featuring Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa rolls into Mansfield tonight for a show at the XFinity Center, but not before a terrifying incident that injured at least 42 fans last night in New Jersey.

According to NBC News, the rappers were performing on a second stage at the rear of the BB&T Pavilion in Camden when a front-row railing collapsed. Dozens of spectators fell forward several feet into the concrete below, leaving one person in critical condition. The performers were quickly rushed off the stage.

More from NBC News:

“Camden police spokesman Dan Keashen told NBC News most of the injuries were broken bones, and bumps and bruises. One person who was seriously injured was taken to the Cooper Trauma Center, Keashen said, where they were listed in critical but stable condition.

Concertgoer Katie Colbridge told NBC News that the crowd was moving to get a better view when the “whole fence collapsed.” She was one section over and wasn’t injured.

‘People started piling on each other and people just started running,’ she said. ‘All you see were tears going down their face. You could see friends holding onto each other, like clenching, like making sure that all their people were there.'”
