When Megadeth rolled into town earlier this year in support of 15th studio album Dystopia, we couldn’t wait to ask Dave Mustaine about the current political climate. The frontman was apprehensive in endorsing any particular candidate on either side of the party line, but did tell Vanyaland’s Michael Christopher this bit of wisdom: “I think, personally, make all politicians work for free, and then you’ll really see who loves America.”
Now, as the upcoming presidential election really starts to heat up, the legendary metal band is hitting the road for another tour this fall, this time bringing along Suicidal Tendencies, Amon Amarth, Metal Church, and Havok.
The 17-date stateside run starts September 20 in Wyoming and wraps October 16 in New Jersey, with a Megadeth appearance at Ozzfest in Devore, California, and an October 12 stop at the DCU Center in Worcester. That’s as close as it comes to Boston, but hey, that’s close enough.
Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, with pre-sale for Megadeth Cyber Army fan club members starting tomorrow.
