Last week we posted a pretty humorous — and very awkward — video of Jon Bon Jovi being pressured to sing with a wedding band at a private reception in Miami.
The story went like this: Bon Jovi was attending a friend’s wedding, and when the hired band heard he was going to be there, they quickly learned a jazzy rendition of “Livin’ On A Prayer” in hopes he’d join in. The band, led by singer Lourdes Valentin, approached Bon Jovi before the party, and he politely declined the invitation to sing. During the reception, the band played his hit, right up in his face, and essentially forced the rock star to get up there and sing (especially after Valentin butchered the lyrics).
Well, now it appears the video, from Cool Coconut Studios, is gone, quietly “removed by the user.”
Was this from pressure from Bon Jovi? He really didn’t seem happy about singing in the first place, but it was clear it was all in good fun, and so were all the articles about it. Did the wedding band feel guilty and decide to pull the video in hopes of atoning with the seasoned rocker? Did the bride and groom decide they weren’t about to let a guy from New Jersey steal their wedding day shine?
We may never know. If only we had the power to turn back time…
