Meat Loaf hospitalized after horrific collapse live on stage in Edmonton

Meat Loaf is currently in stable and “good condition” after collapsing on stage last night during a concert in Edmonton. The 68-year-old singer was performing “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)” when he suddenly fell to the floor at Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

Born Michael Lee Aday, Meat Loaf was quickly taken by ambulance to an area hospital, and according to Consequence of Sound, a rep says the musician is “stable and in good condition.”

Fan-filmed video captures the exact moment Meat Loaf falls. The music continues on for a few seconds before his band realizes the severity of the situation. They quickly rush to his side.

Meat Loaf cancelled a show on Monday in Calgary due to illness.

“For the whole show Meat Loaf seemed a little out of it,” 29-year-old fan Callie Young tells NBC News. “I actually told my boyfriend I was having a hard time enjoying the concert because I was concerned for his health.”
