Last month Texas-born, Seattle-based psych-rock crew Night Beats offered up “No Cops,” a rabble-rousing cyclone of head-nodding, r&b-minded, psych-rock. It was the first taste off upcoming album Who Sold My Generation, and it set up some great expectation.
Now, with Who Sold My Generation ready for January 29 release via Heavenly Recordings, we have some more info on the record. The trio’s third album and follow-up to 2013’s refreshing Sonic Bloom features guest basswork and co-production by Robert Levon Been of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and was recorded on old two-inch tape in Echo Park, Los Angeles, at the home of co-producer Nic Jodoin.
Catch up on the release with “No Cops,” which premiered on Consequence of Sound late last month, via the Night Beats’ Soundcloud page below.
