Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros have confirmed that their latest and fourth studio album will be released in “the beginning” of 2016. In the meantime, the band have shared a new track, the seven-minute-long “Hot Coals,” which you can hear via their Soundcloud below.
“We’ve been on for a while now, but it’s like we just turned on a new page in the old book with the inscription: serve your power and work beyond reason,” says frontman Alex Ebert. “We have. Here’s a large helping of it.”
The piano-led track was first released to the band’s mailing list subscribers earlier this month, and will get an official release this Friday, October 20.
