Word on the street is that Katy Perry joined Madonna on stage last night in Los Angeles, but there was an even better special-guest stage invader 2,000 miles east. Depending on your interests, of course.
At Nashville’s Marathon Music Works, Paramore’s Hayley Williams joined CHVRCHES on stage to perform the Scottish electronic pop band’s track “Bury It.” She was introduced as “friend of ours” by Lauren Mayberry, via DigitalSpy, who added: “We think you guys will know her, she’s a local girl.”
“Bury It” appears on CHVRCHES’ recent sophomore LP, Every Open Eye. Watch fan-filmed video of the performance below, and don’t forget: Telelectrix perform as CHVRCHES this Friday at our second-annual Vanyaland Halloween show at Great Scott. Also on the bill are Band Without Hands playing as Garbage and the Daily Pravda performing the music of Trainspotting. Advance tickets are available here.
