Now that we’re beyond Independence Day and into the beautiful chill-zone called summer, our collective lunch breaks are more than just frigid sprints from the car to the deli shop. We can, you know, actually be outside and relaxed for a bit… and for some of us in the Watertown area, lunch breaks can now include live music.
With that in mind, the Arsenal Center for the Arts’ this week unveiled the full lineup for its summer concert series, a weekly Wednesday gathering featuring the sounds of Boston sand beyond, from Aloud and Ben Knight to Eddie Japan and Will Dailey. The series resumes today, a Thursday, after yesterday’s session with Nemes was postponed due to threats of rain.
“With the Arsenal Center for the Arts being on the athenahealth and Arsenal on the Charles campus here in Watertown, we’re always looking for opportunities to partner to bring entertainment to this ever growing community and expand our reach to new audiences, says curator Rebecca “Crystal” Margolis. “We had a wide range of outdoor summer programming last year and decided to really focus on an awesome lunchtime concert series for 2015.”
The performances take place each Wednesday at noon on the lawn adjacent to 400 Wooley Ave. Here’s the full lineup with linkage:
