As expected, the Babes In Toyland reunion has blossomed into a full-fledged tour.
Yesterday, the ’90s rock trio announced a 10-date North American tour, with the closest dates to Boston being a September 17 date at Irving Plaza in New York City and a September 19 closing gig at the Pop Montreal International Music Festival.
Maybe New England will get lucky with last-minute a date in between, on September 18.
Back in February, Babes In Toyland reunited for an intimate, sold-out show at the Roxy in Los Angeles, and until this week had only one other North American date planned: a June 21 homecoming show at the Rock The Garden Festival in Minneapolis. A European tour kicked off yesterday in London.
“There’s nothing better than playing music with your friends, traveling the country and all of the experiences that come with that,” says Babes in Toyland drummer Lori Barbero in a presser. “I’m one fortunate woman.”
The newly announced tour dates are on-sale this Friday, May 29. Fingers crossed for that Boston gig.
