Just in time for spring to really get sprung, British electro-pop singer Little Boots is back in our lives with “Better In The Morning” the first cut off her anticipated third album Working Girl (out July 10 via Dim Mak and her own On Repeat imprint). The track is a sweet pop bouncer that falls somewhere between Annie and the Tom Tom Club, but the new LP represents something more series. “The album’s inspired by my journey from the beginning to the present, where I am essentially CEO of my own business and run an independent label,” says Victoria “Little Boots” Hesketh. “It’s also fun and empowering to turn the traditional associations of ‘working girl’ on their head.” Catch her July 24 at Great Scott in Allston, one of seven dates on a short North American run this summer, and get “Better In The Morning” added to your a.m. commute playlists immediately.
