It seems like only yesterday when Vary Lumar’s Christopher G. Brown created the Joy Division / Teletubbies video edit that was seen around the globe. Getting press from pretty much everyone and racking up just under 2.5 million views on YouTube, the video was made to not only terrify, but also inspire.
And in 2015, inspiration comes pretty fast, as the darkened stars of the ’90s children’s show appear to have already been made into collective vinyl toys. And they will make their debut at ToyCon UK this weekend in London.
That’s according to online retailer Fatsuma Toys, who tweeted out a pic of the dolls last week, and followed up with a few extra looks via Google+. Based on the hashtag #jpk, they appear to be the work of artist and designer John Paul Kaiser. We don’t know if they will be for sale or just for exhibit, but we’ll certainly pass along more information as it becomes available.
And to think, it all started with a simple picture.
