This Show Is Tonight: MISSIO bring five moods of emotion to Cambridge

It could be said that the first Monday after daylight savings time’s annual “spring forward” charade is the most difficult to endure. But the payoff tonight (March 10) exists through MISSIO’s appearance at The Sinclair in Cambridge, the latest stop on the Austin electronic music duo’s ongoing I Am Cinco Tour of North America.

The cross-country run is in support of last year’s expansive five-EP, 26-track album collection of the same name, where MISSIO genre-hop through corridors of rock, electronic, indie, and hip-hop, and each chapter — I Am SadI Am HighI Am AwesomeI Am Angry, and I Am Crazy — reflects that five various moods that summarize complex human emotions — and not just on a winter Monday when our internal clocks are thrown off.

“We’ve been to multiple countries and had 10 different sessions to write and record these 26 songs,” MISSIO state. “It’s an epic inspired by some of the great old-school double LPs like The Wall or Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness. We’re not just here to check a box; we’re here to be prolific. It puts our creativity out there in a way no other album has. It’s MISSIO.”
