It may be Super Bowl week, but since the Patriots aren’t in it, and a certain midwestern team is, the only “three-peat” we’re truly interested in seeing ’round these parts is that of Chris Fleming.
Using that phrase in the most playful sense (largely without wanting to get sued by Pat Riley), Fleming returns to The Wilbur for a little week’s end magic across three sold out shows starting on Thursday (February 6), and stretching deep into the usual excitement of Friday night. Becoming a nearly annual event after taking the famed venue’s stage in two of the past three years, Fleming’s homecoming ushers in a new era of his career as he offers up a new hour after the release of his critically acclaimed 2023 Peacock special, Hell.
Of course as we’ve come to learn, until it’s recorded, there’s no telling where the “Pride of Stow” will be taking the night, aside from the foundationally-sound elegant chaos that ensues every time he takes the stage, so every show continues to be one of a kind – much like the evening’s multi-talented purveyor.
CHRIS FLEMING :: Thursday, February 6 and Friday, February 7 at The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: Times vary, $39 to $59 :: Advance tickets
