Boston Music Awards 2024: Here are the winners

The 2024 Boston Music Awards popped the eff off. A lively, and at times raucous, party went down at Big Night Live this evening (December 11) as the city’s annual scene celebration brought the heat on a rainy and miserable night in North Station. Inside the venue and away from the bad weather, the vibes were strong and the positivity infectious as 47 awards were handed out, highlighted by Watertown resident Noah Kahan taking home Artist of the Year, Live Artist of the Year, and Folk Artist of the Year.

A host of live performances, including a party-starting opening set from Latin soul artist Yelena Rodriguez and a noisy fit of Lowell rock and roll from this year’s Rumble winners The Ghouls, added volume to the night’s festivities, and tributes to those we lost, including legendary music writer Steve Morse, provided some emotional moments. We also got an exclusive first look at the new Great Scott, set to open in 2026, complete with concepts of a modernized green awning gracing the Allston corner of Harvard and Cambridge Streets.

It was a fun night out, with the social aspect once again front and center as Big Night Live’s open layout and multiple rooms and sections allowed for heightened mingling. As usual, the BMAs delivered the goods on a proper year-end party.

As we all catch our collective breath, and try to stay awake a few more minutes, check out a full list of the winners below.
