Cascada, December 15
Look, we’re not gonna tell you how to live your life, but hearing the enduring and inescapable 2000s dance-pop mega-bop “Everytime We Touch” performed live in a room full of party people just 10 days before Christmas is perhaps the greatest gift a person could give or receive. And right now, our Disco Santa is played by Cascada, the German Eurodance project of Natalie Horler that brings the party to Boston’s Citizens House of Blues on December 15. It’s just one of five North American dates for Cascada, who just dropped new album Studio 24 in October, featuring covers of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye, Blondie’s “Call Me,” and The Supremes’ ultra-classic “You Keep Me Hanging On.” The covers all sound great, but “Everytime We Touch” is iconic. And when we all come together and sing “‘Cause every time we touch / I get this feeling / And every time we kiss / I swear I could fly / Can’t you feel my heart beat fast / I want this to last / Need you by my side” we’ll be transported to a better place, if only for a few moments. Tickets go on sale Thursday (November 14) at 10 a.m. local time.
