The iconic Boston new wave band led by Aimee Mann is part of the 2025 edition of Cruel World Festival, the annual goth, post-punk, and classic alternative fest held at Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The springtime fest unveiled its lineup today, and extremely notable to our interests here in Massachusetts is ‘Til Tuesday’s (rather unexpected) appearance, billed by promoter Goldenvoice as “performing for the first time in 35 years with its original members.”
Elsewhere, Cruel World packs a lot of heat. The fest is headlined by New Order (pictured) and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, who wrap up their ongoing North American tour in support of acclaimed 18th studio album Wild God out in SoCal.
Also appearing are a reunited Go-Go’s, Devo, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Death Cult (the early iteration of The Cult), Garbage, Madness, She Wants Revenge, Alison Moyet, Chelsea Wolfe, Buzzcocks, She Past Away, and lots more.
