This Show Is Tonight: Judah & The Lion bring ‘Process’ to Boston

Courtesy of Crossroads Presents

Here’s some simple, but invaluable, advice: Trust The Process; trust Judah & The Lion. The celebrated Nashville folk-pop band dropped a new album in May (title above in italics), and they’re taking it out on a tour, appropriately dubbed The Process Tour, which snakes its way to Citizens House of Blues in Boston this evening (October 17).

The record is the follow-up to Judah & The Lion’s 2022 effort Revival, and is described as a “soul-baring song cycle that wrestles with the five stages of grief.”

Frontman Judah Akers reveals it’s all quite personal, inspired by his life and struggles: “I was fighting for my marriage, going crazy, and getting sick. I fought writing about what I was going through. Finally, a friend told me, ‘If you don’t write about the biggest heartbreak of your life, you can’t be honest in your work.’ And he was right.”
