Hippo Campus, FLOOD Tour, February 7
Word on the street is that Hippo Campus have crafted “the best album they have ever made,” and that comes right from the Minnesota indie rock band’s HQ. We’ll soon get to test that claim, as the Twin Cities luminaries, never short on confidence, release FLOOD on September 20. They’ll soon take it out for an extensive 2025 North American tour, hitting more than 30 cities, including a stop at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway on February 7. We got a taste of the new material over the summer with the glistening “Paranoid,” and Hippo Campus set it all up for us with the following: “‘Paranoid’ is the collection of sun flares plastered against your eyelids after falling asleep outside,” they declare. “What’s left of whipping shitties in your self-conscious for too long. It’s a hard look in the unforgiving mirror and the sobering realization that not all questions have answers.” Oh, we feel that. Tickets go on sale on Friday (September 13) at 10 a.m. local time.
