Swallow The Sun, Shining Over North America, February 23

The cold and gloomy February here in Boston is not for the feint of heart, especially for bands coming through on a winter tour. But Swallow The Sun should find the landscape quite like home, as the Finnish death-doom maestros roll into Brighton Music Hall in Allston on what should be a frigid February 23. The 23-date Shining Over North America Tour features an inspired lineup of heaviness, with Harakiri For The Sky, Ghost Bath, and Snakes of Russia coming along for the wintry ride. Back in July, the atmospheric heavyweights released the majestic “Innocence Was Long Forgotten,” and it continues to expand the sonic reach of the veteran band. “All the new Swallow The Sun music felt like an ice dagger through a sleeping heart,” the band states, via Blabbermouth. “So we wanted to work with a powerful producer, Dan Lancaster, to push this dagger even deeper into this heart of ours.” Fire it up below, acquire your darkest black clothing, and start planning the 2025 concert experience. Tickets are on sale now.
