David Lucas goes from ‘Kill Tony’ to killing it at The Wilbur

If anyone has seen what David Lucas can do with only a minute on stage, just imagine what he can do with a full hour. Luckily for us, Boston will get a taste of that on the city’s most legendary stage by year’s end.

As announced earlier this week, the hustling comedian and Georgia native will be returning to Boston to make his Wilbur debut on December 7. The chance to fill up the iconic room comes after Lucas has continued to steal the spotlight any time he makes an appearance as a regular and “Hall of Famer”on Tony Hinchliffe’s wildly popular podcast, Kill Tony. In addition to his highly successful stand-up tours, Lucas most recently released a half-hour comedy special, Uncancellable: Live From The Comedy Mothership, on YouTube.

Also returning to Boston, but this time for another go-’round at The Wilbur, is comedian and former Sillicon Valley star Jimmy O. Yang, who will be making his way back to the city on December 6. While Yang has continued to bolster his stand-up audience with a number of successful tours and appearances, and with the release of his second special Guess How Much? in 2023, he’s also added quite a few screen credits to his filmography with roles in Easter Sunday, 80 For Brady, and The Monkey King.

Looking ahead to early next year, a meshing of hypnosis and improv will be making its way to The Wilbur with Hyprov on February 28, starring Whose Line Is It Anyway? legend Colin Mochrie and world-renowned Hypnotist Asad Mecci.

Tickets to these shows can be accessed now via The Regulars presale before a venue presale can be accessed on Thursday (August 1) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. Public on-sale is set to begin on Friday (August 2) at 10 a.m. ET.
