Gouge Away deliver live fury from the stage to screen with ‘No Release’

The tour-diary-to-music-video pipeline is a long and winding one, but sometimes the destination warrants the journey. Earlier today (July 29), Gouge Away released a new visual for the pummelling “No Release,” one of the many standouts on the Florida band’s Deathwish Inc. album Deep Sage, and the scenes are pulled from a recent tour stop in Europe. The clip has a weather-beaten, VHS quality to it, and it nicely showcases the band’s chaotic and intense live shows.

“Our friend, Clara Griot, came out to our recent show in Paris with Teenage Wrist and Angel Dust,” the band states. “She filmed and edited a mini-doc of our day there, using behind-the-scenes and live footage from the show. It came out so cool, we asked if she could use the show footage to make a music video for our song ‘No Release’. She did such an amazing job. It’s extra cool because the show was so fun and now we’ll always have this video to look back at it.”
