You could be the girl (or guy, or general superfan) next to girl in red this weekend in Boston — all you need is a pre-ordered copy of her new record I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY! and the right wristband from Newbury Comics.
The Faneuil Hall location of the pop culture chain will host an autograph signing this Sunday (April 14) at 2 p.m., just two days before the Norwegian singer-songwriter’s show at MGM Music Hall at Fenway. To secure a spot at the event, fans can pre-order a CD or vinyl copy of I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY! from the Newbury Comics website, then drop by on Sunday after 11 a.m. to grab the album and accompanying event wristband.
The signing is free with the purchase of the record, but limited to the first 400 guests who place a pre-order. (We’d suggest securing a spot sooner than later — Maggie Rogers’ April 17 autograph signing at the same location is already sold-out).
Born Marie Ulven Ringheim, girl in red has shared a few slivers of her sophomore album ahead of its Friday release, including singles “Too Much” and “You Need Me Now?” (which features Sabrina Carpenter). Just yesterday, she unveiled a promotional skit: A facetious press conference where she affirms that her second record is “all hits no skips” and “a really fucking good album.”
