Manchester Orchestra, Cope 10th Anniversary Tour, September 14

We’ve often talked about the headtrip that 20th and 30th anniversary tours have on our brains, but we’re not sure we’ve fully-absorbed the whole 10th anniversary bit and how it relates to life in 2014. But here comes Manchester Orchestra, a band no stranger to making us examine things in a new light, and word of a 10th anni run of dates for the Georgia indie band’s fourth studio album Cope. It plays Citizens House of Blues here in Boston on September 14, with Militarie Gun on board for support. “Cope, to me, means getting by. It means letting go, and being OK with being OK,” says Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull, via Eroding Wings. “You can cope in a positive way when bad things happen or a negative way, and that blend was a big lyrical theme for me on this album.” Tickets are on sale now.
