Much like Captain Fantastic himself, Lewis Black has finally decided his future lies beyond the “Yeller” brick road. But he’s not driving off into the sunset quite yet — at least not without one more trip down I-93.
Setting up shop tonight (March 22) at The Wilbur as part of his Goodbye Yeller Brick Road tour, Black brings his farewell touring hour to Boston for the first of two victory laps, as he also has a return set for September. Fully equipped with his legendary wit, sarcasm and dangerously sharp social and political perspectives, Black returns with the fine-aged rage that has powered his career on a stand-up stage for the better part of 30 years, and has helped the masses stomach the insanity around them in process.
Most recently, he released a full-length special on YouTube, Tragically, I Need You, in 2023, and has been a guest on a number of podcasts including Julian Edelman’s Games With Names, in addition to his own Rantcast.
LEWIS BLACK :: Friday, March 22 at The Wilbur, 246 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: 6:30 p.m., $49 to $89 :: Advance tickets
