Oliver Tree, Alone In A Crowd, January 19
Word on the street is folx are still talking about Oliver Tree’s appearance at last year’s Boston Calling. But the truth is that folx are usually talking about the genre-bending California musician no matter what stage he takes over, and for us here in Boston, Tree now sets his eclectic sights on MGM Music Hall at Fenway on January 19. He’ll be bringing along a few items, notably new album Alone In A Crowd, his new character creation Cornelius Cummings, and punk band FIDLAR for opening responsibilities. Here’s more: “Undeniably a one-of-a-kind artist who continues to top the charts and sell out amphitheaters worldwide, Tree satisfies his dedicated and growing audience with his Kaufman-esque Dadaist, ‘meta-humor’ while continuing to explore and dissect the absurdity of modern culture, obsession with fame and social media.” Tickets go on sale Friday (October 6) at 10 a.m. local time.
