Subtronics, TESSERACT Tour, March 2 and 3

In the world of Subtronics, the bass is relentless, and there’s something for everyone. So while the Philadelphia dubstep DJ and producer born Jesse Kardon has been hella productive lately — new album ANTIFRACTALS hit at the end of 2022; bass juggernaut Excision collab “Asteroid” just shook up the streams — we’re perhaps most shaken by his drum & bass remix of Phantogram’s modern classic “Black Out Days.” All of that and more should be on full kaledioscopic display as Subtronics delivers the TESSERACT Tour to MGM Music Hall at Fenway for two nights, March 2 and 3. “Drawing inspiration from the ‘tesseract’, a geometric marvel known in fourth-dimensional geometry as a 16-cell cube, Subtronics (who has a tattoo of a tesseract on his arm) channeled his fascination into an innovative stage design accompanied by breathtaking visual elements,” states the pitch. The full-slate evenings also feature Wooli, Hedex, Saka, Jon Casey, Skellytn, SuperAve., and Automhate. Tickets go on sale Friday (September 29) at 10 a.m. local time.
