It’s a milestone year for Dave Chappelle in 2023, and he’s bringing the celebration all over the place. Now, after rolling out an already hefty tour schedule, the widely proclaimed stand-up GOAT is carving out some extra time to bring the celebration to Boston.
As announced today (August 29), Chappelle is tacking on a few dates to his already extensive It’s a Celebration, B!%?#&$! arena tour, including a stop at Boston’s TD Garden on October 19. With other cities on the fall docket including Cleveland, Detroit, New Orleans, Nashville, Chicago, Milwaukee and Atlanta among others, Chappelle continues to bring the celebration of his 50th birthday milestone to the masses with another deep-cutting, brutally honest and upfront hour and change of material that will surely bring out all the familiar groans, jeers and cheers from crowds all over the country.
The news of the added tour stops comes only a few days removed from Chappelle conquering four nights at Madison Square Garden, which worked to celebrate his birthday, where he was joined by a cavalcade of fellow comedy friends and musical artists including Justin Timberlake, Travis Scott, Burna Boy, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Ludacris, Pete Davidson, Busta Rhymes, John Mayer, Ronny Chieng, The Roots, Nas, De La Soul, Jeff Ross, Lunell, Earthquake, and more to help the comedy icon ring in the big 5-0.
The October date at TD Garden will mark Chappelle’s first show back in Boston since 2018, when he took the stage at the Wang Theatre during a joint tour alongside Jon Stewart.
Tickets for the new dates go on sale to the public on Thursday (August 31) at 10 a.m. ET.
