If you’ve ever found yourself scratching the tourist itch when hanging around the city of Boston, chances are you’ve had some on-edge, subtly angry de facto tour guide give you directions or insight to a landmark’s history with a wise-ass flair. Now, Improv Asylum will deliver that same energy directly to you — just this time, it’ll be welcomed.
Announced earlier this week, the showrunners at Improv Asylum are bringing all of the fun of a trolley tour around the city to a whole new level with “The Masshole’s Guide To Boston” trolley tour. Starting on July 15, the tour will bring you through the historic streets of Boston with the help of some of the city’s most talented comedic voices to lend a little spice to the facts (both true and made-up) and anecdotes embedded within the cobblestone streets and found deep within the crater-sized potholes.
Running every Saturday between July 15 and August 26, Erin Morris, Rosemary West, Stephen Donovan and Matt McLaughlin will be at the helm for the private charter bus treks, and will surely keep their passengers entertained with bits and jokes that aim to bring Boston’s already rich culture and history to you in a whole new way, while also sprinkling in a healthy dose of education as the vessel navigates a full loop around the city that begins and ends at the Asylum’s home in Faneuil Hall.
Tickets for the tours are $49 plus fees, and are on sale now via the Improv Asylum website.
