Grab your hash pipe, pack up your rations of pork and beans, and grow out that sweet mullet for the hell of it, because Weezer is heading out on tour (again). And while it may not be Beverly Hills, it’s Worcester where New Englanders will want to be (for at least one day) this summer.
As announced today (February 27), the legendary award-winning band hit the highway this summer with their Indie Rock Roadtrip tour, which will include a stop at Worcester’s Palladium Outdoors on July 1. The 30-date date trek will start in Huntsville, Alabama on June 4 and run until September 3, when they close it out in San Diego, California. Support acts throughout different spots on the tour will include Modest Mouse, Spoon, Momma, White Reaper, Future Islands, and Joyce Manor.
Not only does the Worcester date — which features Future Islands and Joyce Manor — mark the first formal tour stop (not including their appearance at Boston Calling last year) in Massachusetts since their co-headlining slot with Green Day on The Hella Mega Tour in 2021, but it also will mark a special milestone for the legendary Wormtown venue, as well, as it will be its biggest show in their outdoor space to date since its opening in 2018.
Pre-sale tickets for the Worcester show can be accessed via The Palladium website starting on Thursday (March 2) at 10 a.m. local time by using the code WOOSTA, before they go on sale to the general public on Friday (March 3) at 10 a.m. Eastern.
