After making history this past summer at The Wilbur, Brian Glowacki is readying to pull a Tom Brady, and beat his own feat.
As announced earlier this week, the Nantucket native is making his way inland in 2023 for another night headlining Tremont Street on June 24. Back in June of this year, Glowacki made Boston comedy history as the first independent, unsigned comedian to headline the legendary venue in the midst of hustle and fruition, which brought him all over the country, as well as to the headlining spot at Vanyaland’s inaugural comedy festival over the summer. Additionally, Glowacki is also set to record his first special at The Paramount Theatre in Rutland, Vermont on January 21. It’s safe to say 2023 will be an even bigger year for your old pal BGlow, so get on the boat before it leaves the shoreline.
While The Wilbur stays true to bringing back those who successfully slay their spotlight, it’s also a land of opportunities and firsts, and Matt Rife can attest. The actor and comedian, best known for appearances in shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Wild n’ Out and Fresh Off The Boat, will make his Wilbur debut on March 23. While Rife’s comedy can be found mostly on screen, he also released his first stand-up special, Only Fans, on YouTube earlier this year.
Stand-up veteran Steve Trevino will also be a part of the fun on Tremont Street next year, as he sets up his return to the city with a show at The Wilbur on October 14. Most recently, the born and raised Texan released two specials between 2019 and 2020 with ‘Til Death followed by My Life in Quarantine.
And while his return has already been announced, Trevor Noah is doing a little branding to his previously planned “Back To Abnormal” tour, with his “Off The Record” tour adding three additional dates to his between The Wilbur and Chevalier Theatre, with three new shows on April 11 through 13. The Daily Show host’s latest stand-up special, I Wish You Would, is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on November 22.
