The Comedy Bang! Bang! summer tour makes some noise at Chevalier

In case you were wondering what that sound in the distance is, that’s just the sonic boom of comedic force coming from the center of the Comedy Bang! Bang! machine, and lucky for us, it’s headed right for Medford this summer.

Setting off on their latest summer tour this year, the hit podcast will return to the Chevalier Theatre on August 22 with its creative mastermind, Scott Auckerman, at the helm. With three years separating visits, a lot has transpired in the world of CBB, but one thing that is sure to remain the same, whether they’re in the studio or on stage in front of you, is the ability harnessed by Auckerman and his trusty team of Lauren Lapkus and Paul F. Tompkins to pull their audience deeper into their collective creative genius. There’s no telling what to expect with the gang’s return, and that’s the best part.

Also making making the trek to Medford this summer with a live edition of a podcast is Nicole Byer, who brings Why Won’t You Date Me? to life on the Chevalier stage on July 23. Continuing her quest to find the answer to the ultimate question she’s asked for entirely too long, Byer’s humor, honesty, and vulnerability take on a whole new life as she invites her comedian friends to help her figure things, while also helping them with their own trials at the same time.

Now, although we have to make it through all the heat and humidity of the next few months in order to get to December, Joe Pera will be waiting for us at the Wilbur on December 2. On his latest jaunt, dubbed Summer In The Midwest And Rustbelt Tour Part III: Fall Everywhere Else, the sweater-clad Adult Swim star brings his warm and inviting demeanor to life once again, with a brand new slate of stand-up to share. The grandfatherly approach to his network infomercial may be a character, but the creative and comedic energy that just seems to flow so naturally from Pera’s mind is anything but an act.

Tickets for these shows can be accessed now via a special presale if you subscribe to The Regulars program, before they hit presale on Thursday (May 19) at noon EDT by using the code VANYA. Public on-sale for Joe Pera and Comedy Bang! Bang! starts on Friday (May 20) at 10 a.m. EDT, while Nicole Byer’s public in-sale kicks off at noon.
