The world demanded it, and our gracious God the Sandman has relented. Yes, thanks to Uncut Gems, Adam Sandler is doing more dramatic roles (and is looking to make better ones than The Cobbler or Men, Women and Children, thank god), and his latest feature will be out soon on Netflix. It’s called Hustle, and it features Sandman as a 76ers scout who has his hopes pinned on a long-shot prospect from Spain. We’ve seen how well Sandler shared the screen with the likes of Kevin Garnett and Shaq, and now we’ll see him paired with the Utah Jazz’s Juancho Hernangomez. Netflix dropped the trailer for the movie earlier on Tuesday, and we’ve got to admit: We’re suckers for a decent sports drama, and even bigger suckers for Sandler.

Hustle hits Netflix on June 8. That’s a pretty good reward for Juancho Hernangomez, given that Jazz got knocked out of the playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks a few weeks ago. He won’t be at home for the Finals — he’ll be on a red carpet somewhere, which is almost as good as a ring. Almost.
