Each new Foals release seems legit enough to give us life, and now the sentiment official with Life Is Yours, the British band’s forthcoming album that hits this summer. To get us worked up, Foals have released a cruising new tune called “2am,” and its overnight groove boasts a few different sonic and thematic layers. “Musically ‘2am’ is one of the poppiest songs we’ve ever written,” says Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis. “It’s about repetitive cycles of destructive behavior, which I think lots of people can relate to, and certainly it’s an expression of something that I struggle with.
