Psychedelic Porn Crumpets are returning to North America in the spring. That’s it. That’s the article.
“G’day All! It’s actually happening, the Crumpet wagon has finally got it’s wheels back!” says Jack McEwan. “We’ll be galavanting our way round North America in April & May to play some musics and eat the foods and sip the drinks. Acid Dad will also be joining us for the expedition, so excellent news all round. Can’t wait to see y’all very soon.”
The beautifully-named Australian psych band are playing Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta in April, and after two pre-fest warm-up shows, deliver their animated exuberance to the masses from coast to coast. Included in the run is a May 4 date at The Sinclair in Cambridge. Tickets go on sale Friday (November 19).
The Crumpets have a new album set for release in 2022, the follow-up to 2019’s And Now for the Whatchamacallit. The first taste arrived last month via “Lava Lamp Pisco,” which landed with a way-cool video by Bristol artist Gina Tratt.
